Building Strong Foundations Since 2004

Guru Amar Dass Public School was founded in 2004 and opened its doors to its first pupils on 3 April 2006. One of the institutions of the Guru Amar Dass Group, it is a co-educational, English-medium senior secondary school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

The campus at Ucha Bet, on the Goindwal road in Kapurthala, is green, peaceful and away from the noise and the pollution of the town. The classrooms are digital throughout.

When a child joins the GADPS family it is the starting point of a journey of self-discovery. Children here are given the opportunity to unfurl themselves and to bring out their latent talents — which is what the school’s motto, Enlightening Minds, asks of it.

Student-Centred and Concept-Based Learning

Teaching at GADPS is student-centred and concept-based. Lessons are built on visual learning and on real-life examples, with LED screens and digital content in the classrooms.

Teachers work as facilitators rather than as dictators of notes, and the classroom is arranged for critical thinking, creativity and active participation — deliberately beyond learning by rote.

Come and See the School
